Huh. That would have saved me $600.

Have you driven it gas-only? If so, is the 37mpg rating accurate?

Sounds like the electric car is working for you. What made you go with the Volt over the the Leaf or i3 or any of the other options?

I drove the Leaf, the ELR, and the Prius. I wanted the ELR but not at the price it was offered at and not with CUE and essentially ZERO back seat. The Volt felt heavier and was tons more fun in the corners. Of course I’d get a Tesla if I could afford it.

Only driven gas-only for a few miles at a time so I don’t have any stats there.

I looked at one, I really like it. But no manual trans, and I really wanted a manual trans.

Yep I’m in a similar boat, looking for a replacement for my GTI. My driving profile would work for an electric, but a Tesla doesn’t make sense. They’re just too big and expensive. The i3 came closest to the fun driving experience I want, but it’s just a smidgen too much compromise. If it were a bit less expensive, faster, and had longer range, it would be a no-brainer.

Ya this car is the closest I would call an appliance of any of my cars; however, acceleration is surprisingly fast and handling is great because of the low center of gravity.

I only glanced at the i-3 but I need a bigger car that four real people can fit into.

You think Mr. Regular of Regular Car Reviews would want to drive one?

It rode nicely, and was actually kinda fun. I could make it a whole commute without a drop of gas. But...no manual...

I'm all for them, man. Good on ya!

Not to mention the i3 looks absolutely terrible. I’m sorry if this steps on people’s toe but there is no way you can come out to that car every morning and feel proud.

I’ve seriously been considering a used Volt to replace my wife’s Cavalier. I’m sort of hoping that when the 2016 Volt hits the market, used prices will drop a bit more.
